I am Matt. The photographer you will speak to, work with and collect your portraits from.
I have worked in studio photography since 1997 and independently since 2014. From my studio at Chinns Court in Warminster, I photograph families, newborns, businesses and weddings, with the same care for the people in front of the camera and the photographs they take away.
My job is to notice the details and guide you through the photography. You do not need to know how to pose. We talk about what you want to create, and I take responsibility for bringing the photographs together.
How I work
You deal with the person making the photographs.
I plan the session, guide the photography, watch the small details and prepare the finished work. That continuity matters because the decisions made during the shoot affect how the finished portrait will look on the wall, in print or in an album.
For most portrait work, I create the portrait and the finished product myself, with albums produced professionally where needed. The final result should feel properly made, not handed over as an afterthought.
Experience
Studio photography since 1997.
I first worked in studio photography in 1997, learning on film before digital screens made everything immediate. That background still affects how I work: lighting, direction, timing and finish all matter.
I became independent in 2014 so I could keep creating portrait and creative photography in the way I believed it deserved to be made. The business has grown around that same idea: photography done properly is worth doing.
